The field of activity of graduates who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in “Philology,” specialization “Slavic Languages and Literatures (including Translation), first language – Polish,” is primarily teaching activity, which is ensured by the presence in the educational program of a cycle of psychological, pedagogical, and methodological disciplines, as well as teaching practice. This enables graduates to work in the field of education, including teaching positions in general and specialized educational institutions, as well as employment in museums, archives, publishing houses, media organizations (radio, television, press), cultural institutions, research organizations, and administrative bodies.

Graduates will acquire the following professional skills:

  • a high level of proficiency in Polish and Ukrainian languages;
  • the ability to analyze and interpret literary works and cultural texts;
  • translation and text editing skills;
  • the ability to conduct research in language, literature, and culture;
  • an understanding of the social and cultural context in which languages are used;
  • communication skills that enable effective interaction with representatives of different cultures and linguistic environments;
  • skills in using various text-processing software;
  • knowledge of theoretical foundations and practical methods of teaching languages and literatures in schools and higher education institutions.

    • Document on Previous Level of Education Obtained and Entrance Examinations for International Applicants:

    1. Examination in the language of instruction (Ukrainian or English language);
    2. Mathematics examination;
    3. World History examination;
    4. Foreign language examination (English, German, French, Spanish).
